ADHEAR
Bone conduction hearing without surgery: a small adhesive adapter behind the ear and a click-on audio…

BONEBRIDGE is MED-EL’s active bone conduction implant. In conductive or mixed hearing loss, damage to the outer or middle ear stops sound from reaching the inner ear. BONEBRIDGE goes around that problem and delivers sound to the inner ear through the bone of the skull.
When one ear does not hear, BONEBRIDGE picks up sound on the deaf side and sends it through the bone to the inner ear on the hearing side, so sounds from that side are no longer missed.
Unlike bone-anchored hearing aids with an abutment, BONEBRIDGE is placed entirely under the skin. There is no open wound to care for, and the small SAMBA 2 processor is held over the implant by a magnet and can be hidden under hair.
